 First through fifth grade students will be able to use his/her AR points they have earned throughout the entire first semester of school.

PTO does a fantastic job of organizing this event!  Teachers will send students throughout the morning from 8:00-11:30 on Friday.

 Reading Carnival

 Pre-K through First grade students will earn his/her way to the carnival is by becoming members of the "100 Book Club." A reading log was sent home earlier this school year and can be downloaded here. Incentives will be given at 25, 50, 75 and 100 books. I will initial each star and once the student reaches 100 books they not only be invited to the carnival but they will receive a certificate and a Super Reader shirt. 

Reading logs are due by May 1st and I must have initialed their progress throughout the year to be rewarded. 

Second grade - Fifth graders will need to become a genre specialist to earn his/her way to the carnival. Reading logs were provided for each student at the beginning of the school year. On the day of the carnival students will leave the classroom for two hours and they will be able to play games for prizes and we will also have arts and crafts. The following are a few games: basketball free throw, fishing booth game, sponge toss, face painting, musical chairs, knockerball, bounce house, etc.

Volunteers will also be needed during this fun filled time! Invites will go out by May 5th.
